Classes

Education & Classes

Servicios de Esperanza is now offering an 8-week Parenting Class entitled “A Reflection of Me” in your community. The classes are formatted from the Practical Parent Education Program; an evidenced informed curriculum “founded on the principles of family systems and the ages and stages of children and addresses issues such as developing children’s confidence, self-esteem, motivation, trust, responsibility and school appropriate social skills.” During the 8-week parenting class, parents/caregivers will learn:

  • How to recognize temperamental traits in their child and in themselves;
  • How to develop the habit of looking for positives and strengths in their child(ren);
  • How to develop an approach to discipline that is effective for their child(ren).
The class sessions will be offered at various locations, in English or Spanish, and during the daytime, evenings, and weekends to accommodate your parent/caregiver needs. Neither Child Care nor transportation is provided at this time.

Visit our blog for detailed information about the current class offerings.
